Good Morning

Today I want to give a big shout out to my friend and coworker who is in San Francisco running the Alcatraz Triathlon.  Good Luck Cathy!

This morning I had a great compliment from a fellow gym goer.  She said I looked very fit.  Thank you!

In the spirit of no more chemicals on my body I have started making my own face wash.  It is oatmeal and almonds run through the blender to a fine powder.  It appears to be working amazing.  The only issue I have seen was super dry skin this winter.  I have used coconut oil and almond oil to counteract this problem to no avail.

This is when I start searching Google.  I am Thankful for Google.

I found this great resource New Nostalgia.  Great information.

This is the recipe from New Nostalgia

Homemade Face Moisturizer
4 Tbsp 100% Aloe Vera Juice (the drinkable kind)
1 tsp Vegetable Glycerine
6 drops Jojoba Oil
1/4 tsp Sweet Almond Oil
1 Container to keep the moisturizer in.
Measure all into container.  You may need to use a funnel.
Before each use, shake well.  This is not a creamy product, it is quite watery.  Apply using a cotton pad or your clean fingertips.  It will take a minute to dry, but as it does, it will absorb and leave you with soft, silky smooth skin!
If you need more moisture, just add a bit more of the oils until you get the level your specific skin type needs.  The above recipe was just perfect for mine.

I recommend this recipe.  My dry skin disappeared in just 2 uses.

Thank You New Nostalgia for a great recipe.
