Foodie Pen Pal Reveal Day

This is my favorite day of the month………No wait, my second favorite day, the first is the day I get my box from my Foodie Pen Pal.

This month I sent to Samantha who lives in Houston TX.  She is a blog reader.  Samantha hope you enjoyed all your goodies.

I received my package from Courtney at Journey of a Dreamer.  Great package Courtney!  Thanks so much!

Look at all those great products.

The hubs loves pumpkin seeds so you know who got those.

I have been using the goji berries in my morning smoothies, delicious.

The sausage sticks were a great snack on my way home from work this week, I was glad to have them as I had my apple in the fridge at work and it is very cold, I could not bite into it. brrr.

The apple crisp is patiently waiting in my cupboard for me to decide to bake.  I will let you know if that happens, lol.

The sweet carob drops will be consumed in my smoothies soon, just as soon as those goji berries are gone.

Generally I post the rules and ways to participate in Foodie Pen Pals in this space.  For December Lindsay is doing something different.  I urge you all to participate in this month even if it is only this month.

Introducing….

FPP sandy FPP for Charity

Instead of matching people up to send FPP packages in December, we’re going to use this group for good and raise some money for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. There are two ways you can get involved:

1) I will be setting up a paypal account to accept donations. Please consider donating the $15-$25 you would have spent on purchasing items and mailing your FPP package in December. Donations will be accepted from December 3-7th and I will make one big donation to a recovery organization in the name of Foodie Penpals at the end of the week. I’m still researching organizations. Some that i’ve looked at include Brooklyn Recovery Fund and Kids In Distressed Situations.

2) I’m in the process of searching for an organization that will be collecting holiday gifts for the people affected by this storm. With the holidays approaching, if you’re in the mood to shop instead of just donate money, I will try to provide an address that you can mail gifts to and encourage you to spend $15 to purchase some gifts and send them out so they can be distributed to families.

Hope to see you all participate.
